Jack looked over his shoulder at the person whod hopped into the back seat of the car. He hadnt quite caught his name when hed answered Vee. Dan? He could have sworn hed heard Dan but he wasnt sure. From the back seat the extremely freckled boy smiled at him, face read from the exertion of running, but eyes still twinkling with some sort of excitement. Hold on just a second. He said, brushing the bangs sticking from the brim of his hat from his eyes. My brother is coming too. If thats okay? Vee nodded and said something, though as seemed to be somewhat routine as of the boys arrival, Jack failed to catch it. He was too busy studying the newcomer. Blonde hair blue eyes slightly tanned, he narrowed his eyes, small too, not quite skinny but petite, if that word was even allowed to be used for boys. Jack snorted lightly to himself. Where you from? Jack caught that one and gave Vee a quick glance. His fingers were drumming silently along the sides of the steering wheel, he wanted to go, clearly, but was being patient for the sake of the kids brother. Texas. The boy replied simply. Jack turned back to him. Made sense, what with the accent and all. The boy Dan, he assumed at this point, hed allow himself to be corrected later was undoing the buttons of his shirt with deft fingers. Jack had no idea why on earth someone would chose to wear a long sleeved shirt on such a hot day, made sense to take it off. The shirt had been rather baggy, and its removal was giving Jack a better idea of who exactly it was sitting in the back seat of what hed slowly come to accept as his car. He was even more petite it seemed, and even more freckled. The freckles continued down his neck along his collarbone and even down to his breasts? Jack started. Holy fuck youre a girl. He said as soon as the thought popped into his head. Probably not polite, but whatever. You dress like a man and thats what people expect of you. Dont go scaring them. Dan, though that was probably not his her name, laughed lightly and her smile grew. She pulled the hat from her head, letting down the previously confined long hair. He held out her hand to Jack who took it, though hesitantly. Dani. She said, Danielle Scott.
